How to Fix Access_Violation error in sc2 / diablo 3 or WOW – Ultimate Tutorial

Finally i fixed my sc2 access_violation error since 2 weeks of reading stupid battle.net threads or stupid tutorials with senseless things.

Its good to know that you may get access_violation error in every blizzard game – World Of Warcraft, Starcraft II, Warcraft 3, Diablo 3 , etc. In same cases you cant even start the game ( most probabbly in warcraft 3 and starcraft 2) and sometimes in world of warcraft you get access_violation during the game.

This tutorial would help you to fix EVERY access_violation error that you have, no matter of the game – THE PROBLEMS ARE SIMILAR for every blizzard game.

Usually when you searching in google about 0xC0000005 access_violation error – almost everyone tells you that this is a  ram problem and you have to run RAM TEST via BIOS boot startup – this can`t help you in most of the cases – beleave me, i lost a lot of hours in google.com and almost noone  fixed the errors with RAM TEST – so, don`t try this for now.

!!!Important Note if you have access_Violation error!!!

You`re probabbly infected with a  viruss / malware – TRUST ME!

 

I fixed my error with the last possible solution that i wrote, check it out.

Possible solution number 1

The first thing that you have to do is to check your windows updates. If you are using windows XP – turn on your automatic updates. If you`re using XP 2 > update to XP 3, etc.

I`ll be honest – probably you wont fix it with automatic updates

Possible solution number 2

Update ALL of your  drivers

Usually NVIDIA drivers have  ACCESS_VIOLATION more often than every other videocard. I used to check my drivers with Driver Genius Professional  – you can check all of your drivers and update them automatically with driver genius – simple and easy.

Possible solution number 3

Use repair.exe  and check for missing files and some common problems. Also you can delete your CACHE folder or profile folder ( my documents  – if you play sc2 / d3).

Possible solution number 4

Dxdiag tool
Run dxdiag for check for any possible errors. You can run dixdiag in:
start> run> dxdiag.exe
Check your Direct3D / DirectDraw / AGP – all of them should be “active”. Also run test DirectDraw and Direct3D.

MALWARE

Download http://www.malwarebytes.org/ this and make a full scan

WINDOWS REGISTRY PROBLEM

Clean and fix any problems related to your windows registry. Some software that you may use free:

CCleaner

Wise Registry Cleaner Free

Auslogics Registry Cleaner

Advanced SystemCare Free

Glary Registry Repair

Comodo Registry Cleaner

Little Registry Cleaner

Possible solution number 7 ( not really ) 

Do not try to reinstall the game – I tried several times with no success – even i  installed the game in different hard drivers / NTFS/

Possible solution number 8

Create new pc account and run the game with it – sometimes this should work

Possible solution number 9  – THE MOST IMPORTANT

VIRUSS REMOVAL AND ADVANCED ADWARE SCAN

As i said before:

You`re probabbly infected with a  viruss / malware – TRUST ME!

 

This is how i fixed it – i tried a lot of methods

My error in sc2 appeared when i was infected with malware.

Also tried with no success:

• AVAST
• AVG

And Finally i got it :

TDSSKiller – Free small software for removing rootkit

If TDSSKiller wont run > rename it or change the extension to .com and try to run it again.

I strongly recommend you to download Kaspersky and run a several scans:

• Critical Areas Scan
• Vulnerability Scan
• Full Scan

If you tried everything that i wrote – you should not have any access_violation error anymore.
